Knife SOG Vulcan black

The designers of the SOG Vulcan black TiNi knife were inspired by the famous Vulcan M61 cannon (Vulcan M61 is a six-barrel rotary Gatling gun. The M61 and its offshoots have been through several wars and have been a staple of US military aircraft such as the F-15, F-18 and F-16. It can fire at 6,000 rpm.) and imprinted the knife with its legendary characteristics of speed, power and versatility. The SOG Vulcan has an impressively solid construction, and its accuracy and reliability is a given just because of the country of manufacture (Japan). You simply won't find a weakness in this knife. The patented Arc-Lock lock can withstand 1,000 pounds of pressure.

The blade is made of ultra-high quality VG-10 steel, which is a high carbon stainless steel similar to 154CM steel with less molybdenum and added cobalt and very little vanadium. The main advantages of this steel are mainly its high abrasion resistance and edge stability, which was rated higher than ATS 34, just behind D2 steel (62 HRC). VG-10 is also equal to S30V in cutting aggressiveness. It clearly outperforms both 420J2, AUS4-A and AUS8-A steels in most cutting tests.

The blade is blackened using a titanium-nickel alloy - TiNi.
